Configuration Management without problems

Drupal 8 is out now since more than a year and came with configuration management in core. The concepts are not very difficult and yet one can read blog posts about the shortcomings and pitfalls on a regular basis. While it is true that the systems in core have a few limitations with two or three contrib projects one can successfully handle every conceivable workflow* with ease.

In this session we will go over the workflows and tools that enable us to be efficient and have full control over the configuration of our Drupal 8 site despite all shenanigans that may be required.

Some of the issues covered: Installing from existing configuration, deployment without development modules, deployment with changes on production.

At the end of the session we will have time to discuss the workflows you have issues with.

(* we can handle every workflow given it is itself not inherently flawed)
